Product Marketing Manager – Product Marketing

REX is a well-funded, game-changing real estate technology startup with offices in Los Angeles, the Bay Area, as well as Austin, Texas.  With the goal of improving the home buying and selling experience, REX created a digital platform and real estate service that eliminates traditional agent commissions, sells homes faster and shifts control away from agents over to those who matter most: consumers.  Having proven the effectiveness of the REX model in 2016 and grown rapidly in 2017, REX expanded to 10 cities in 2018. And with a recently closed Series C, REX will expand to 14 new markets in 2019.

About the Position

We’re looking to add an experienced Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about communication and products to support the rollout of new products and services.  Responsibilities will include testing for product market fit and developing our go-to-market plans. Traits of a successful candidate include: strategic thinking, strong communication skills & cross-functional abilities, analytical rigor, and ability to influence and drive consensus. This individual will report to Product Management and work closely with the engineering, business development, sales, and customer success teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze market needs and opportunities to shape product development and strategy in partnership with product management, engineering, design and business development teams
  • Deeply understand customer needs/requirements and user flow, as well as product risk areas and communicate recommendations for improvements and new features
  • Support the business development and enterprise sales teams with developing storylines and marketing collateral for productive discussions with partners and customers
  • Help develop detailed documents and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Business Development and other teams to drive successful go to market strategies
  • Work with Sales Operations to drive adoption by integrating services and educating Customer Success Specialists and Customer Relationship Managers
  • Lead the development of client communications, product documentation, and sales collateral
  • Work with communications, legal and policy teams on public communications related to product portfolio

What You Need:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 8+ years product marketing or product management experience
  • Experience partnering with product management, product marketing and/or engineering to represent market/customer requirements and supporting product launches
  • Customer-first orientation and experience in a client-facing environment
  • Communication skills that are effective with technical, business, and external stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen, professionalism, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Data and results-driven with great measurement, analytical, critical thinking and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with exceptional organization, planning and execution capabilities
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial start-up environment

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of real estate, mortgage and related services markets
  • MBA
  • Track record of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results
  • Presentation design and group presentation experience
  • Organization and people skills and the ability to set priorities, problem-solve, multi-task and work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace
