With the goal of improving the lives of homebuyers and sellers, REX created a digital platform and real estate service that eliminates traditional agent commissions, sells homes faster and shifts control away from agents over to those who matter most: consumers.  Having proven the effectiveness of the REX model in 2015 and grown rapidly in 2016, REX is expanding nationwide in 2017.

As part of our social mission, REX sets aside a portion of all income from selling homes to fund homes for families in dire need. It is our mission to contribute one home for every 40 homes we sell. We’ve started in Sihakouville, Cambodia, where we partnered with World Housing and the Cambodian Children’s Fund to help homeless families get back on their feet.

About The Position

REX is rapidly expanding our presence in Los Angeles and we currently have a part-time / on call opening for a Showing Representative in Oxnard to work with the REX team and our homebuyers and sellers.  REX home sellers only pay a 2% fee for the entire transaction and we go around the MLS to target home buyers directly with sophisticated marketing that we are pioneering in real estate.  Transactions are managed with support from the REX tech platform and team, which includes engineers, marketers, customer support, transaction coordinators and a CA licensed broker.  REX Showing Representatives are out in the field, opening homes for showings and open houses, and reporting feedback to REX Agents.

The Oxnard territory will cover the following areas: Oxnard, Ventura, and Camarillo.

Job Responsibilities

With a deep understanding of the REX brand, and the desire to work out in the field showing properties, and working with potential buyers and sellers, the Showing Representative will:

  • Conduct Home Showings
  • Communicate with REX sales staff, buyer and seller to coordinate and confirm showing times
  • Greet buyers at homes and show properties, noting any questions the buyers may have about the home.
  • Secure properties at the end of showings, locking doors & turning off lights
  • Follow up with REX Agents to pass along feedback or property questions from buyers

Manage Open Houses

  • Set up temporary open house signs before the open houses
  • Greet open house attendees, welcome them in, and have them sign in
  • Able to about the benefits of REX to all open house attendees
  • Proactively distribute property flyers, along with REX materials to attendees
  • Note any questions asked by buyers about the property during open houses
  • Notify REX Agents of any offer forms submitted or any interested parties
  • Secure properties at the end of open houses, locking doors & turning off lights
  • Pick up temporary signs after the open houses are over
  • Collect seller leads whenever possible during buyer communications with the goal of converting actual and potential buyers into REX sellers
  • Travel to properties, taking notes and photos for value comparables and send photos to REX sales team the same day.
  • Comply with REX policy manual and all BRE/legal statutes.

Experience & Qualifications

Our ideal candidate brings the following:

  • Excellent client service and communication skills; able to represent REX to high end clients.  Projects confidence but has the prudence to know when to ask for help.
  • Understands the real estate transaction process, documents and disclosures but is not bound by traditional approaches where not legally mandated

Compensation

  • Compensation on a per task basis.
